Upon site survey we found multiple sections of blown screed and also sections where tiles were missing and had been filled with cement. This floor was in a sorry state. Client also requested to extend the tiling to where a store cupboard used to be.
We carefully uplifted each piece of the Victorian floor tiles and cleaned the backs set aside. New pieces required for completion were sourced from a salvage yard. The entire screed was removed, structural panels screwed into the joists, renovation screed laid and then finally a decoupling membrane.
Tiles re-laid with flexible cement based adhesive to original geometric pattern, grouted, diamond buffed and sealed.
