My name is Walter Croft owner of Victorian Tile services. I’m a 3rd generation tiler. I started my tiling career with my dad in 1995.
Before the 1990’s generally no care or attention was paid to Victorian and Geometric floor tiles. Sadly, assumed unrepairable, in many cases they were chopped up and replaced or simply covered with carpet, lino or latex etc…..
From the early 2000’s there has been a resurgence in interest with Victorian and Edwardian geometric floor tiles and a new found respect and admiration for the craftmanship involved in either reproducing or restoring these floors. Tragically many of the craftsman from the Victorian era never came back from the Trenches of WW1 so the craft was never passed on.
It’s my now mission to breathe life and restore these timeless floors back to their former glory.

01. Restoration
Usually we start with a brief consultation over the phone followed by a free site survey and assessment. A written estimate will then be provided, these are especially required for insurance or listed building proposals.

02. Reproduction
Nostalgia for Victorian elegance has led to recreate these classic floor tiles using modern day production methods. We only install top quality manufactured tiles from Olde English, Original style and Craven Dunnill.

03. Clean & Seal
Once all the damaged tiles have been replaced the finishing procedure is the clean and seal. First the floor is buffed using a rotary machine with pads and water to get into the surface pores of the tiles and give it a deep clean
